Impact is about the external benefits that arise from research. It is recognised as a key part of the research lifecycle, is increasingly important for funding and reputation, and can have a positive feedback effect on the research itself.
Join Impact Framework Manager Stephen Kemp for an interactive session helping researchers in Physical Sciences and Engineering understand what impact is, why it is important and what you can do to develop the impact of your research.
Stephen will introduce the Impact Toolkit, a new resource created to offer all researchers a guide to the impact strategies and support within the University of Southampton.
A buffet lunch will be served from 12.30pm before Stephen begins his presentation at 1pm.
