Undergraduate students’ autonomous racing car wins impressive 9th place at international NXP Cup final

An update to our recent news story: The autonomous racing car created by Electronics and Computer Science (ECS undergraduate students from the University of Southampton has won an impressive 9th position out of almost 200 entrants, in the final of the EMEA NXP Cup intelligent racing competition. The ‘Soton GT’ team, which built its high speed vehicle in a fourth year undergraduate group project, faced rivals from Europe, the Middle East and Africa at the competition which was held in Munich, Germany.
